WHAT ARE THEIR JOURNEYS WITH MUSEED LIKE ?

Interview with Rachel Gao/ the Mother of our 12 year old pupil

LET THE PARENTS SPEAK FOR US

Victoria

(Mum of Agnes)

“Miss Angell is a great teacher. She knows exactly how to deal with little ones. She’s very patient when explaining concepts and makes them understandable for kids. She is also quite strict when they become naughty and gets them back on track quickly. She is always very communicative and helpful after classes on any question we got about piano practice. She focuses on laying the foundation for my daughter and never pushing her on taking tests which might bring instant benefit(certificates) but could damage the kids’ interest and long term skill build up. My daughter started learning playing piano when she turned 5. Miss Angell is her first teacher. We are very happy with what she achieved with Miss Angell. Within one year, she has grown from knowing nothing about piano to playing 3 pages classic pieces beautifully. She has become so confident that she performs to everyone as long as a piano is available. She loves her teacher!”

Bei Chen

(Mum of Nora)

Michelle

(Mum of Gua & Dong )

James

(Dad of Lawrence )

Michael

(Dad of Lisa, Benny, Rein )

“Since August 2015 Angell tutors our children Lisa (8 yrs old) and Benny (6 yrs old) in violin and piano. She also is teaching them how to compose a song. It leads Lisa and Benny to write their own music in combination with their instruments.  Angell teaches the children by joining in and has the ability to motivate them even when they are tired. There is a big difference compared to former teachers in terms of engagement during the lessons. The progress they make with Angell is astounding, she has simply the ability to bring the joy in music out of every child. After less than three years teaching, Benny is already on ABRSM Grade 4 in Piano while Lisa in the meantime progressed to Grade 6 in violin. Our youngest (Rein, 5 yrs old) started playing the violin just recently and again Angell shows her fantastic teaching capabilities.

Angell is always very reliable, patient, communicates with us clearly and straightforward. She is hard working, plans ahead and makes the lessons more fun. We can highly recommend her teaching anyone but especially children. She is key for the musical education of our children and we are very grateful to have her.”

Mrs J Graham

(Mum of Harriet)

“My 7 year old daughter has been studying violin with Angell for 8 months. Angell has the dual talent in both Piano and Violin, Angell puts a lot of effort in helping her achieve the correct hand now positions and posture so that her foundation is solid before moving onto the next phase. She’s professional, reliable and a good communicator. She cares about the progress of her student’s skills and giving her students a solid foundation (not just solely on passing grade examinations). She is one of the more sought after teachers in music education. We are fortunate to be under her guidance!”

Freya

(Mum of Kelly)

“My daughter started learning piano with Angel when she was 4 years old. We couldn’t have asked for a better teacher to take her on the piano journey at such a young age. Angell was extremely patient and encouraging, which I think is of critical importance for early years music education. While she made sure the learning was fun, she managed to help my daughter build a very solid foundation. She helped her learn the technical skills, and at the same time instilled in her an appreciation for musicality. Angell’s communication with parents was excellent. I was kept up to speed with what was going on and was always consulted with. We couldn’t thank Angell enough for her dedication and effort over the years and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family. ”

Sherie

(Mum of Renee)

“I have known Angell for about 11 years. She began teaching my daughter Renee when she was around seven years old and wanting to try the violin for the first time.

We’ve had the pleasure of having lessons directly in our home, in Angels own premises and virtually during difficult lockdown periods of covid.

Angel has always been attentive and ensured my daughter was taught the very basics of playing the violin before moving on to playing pieces. Listening to the screeching chords turn into beautiful drifting sounds is a massive attribute to Angells teachings.

She makes lessons fun for the students but is strict and teaches discipline to her students. Over the years she has shown my daughter that playing the violin can become a passion and that hard work and perseverance pays off.  She has most definitely contributed to my daughters passion for classical music.

I would recommend anyone to learn with Angell and look forward to registering my youngest as soon as she is old enough.

Thank you Angell for all your hard work..”

Mrs MV

(Mum of Elizabeth)

“Angell is an incredibly talented, patient and diligent teacher. Since my daughter started to be taught by Angell, she has made significant strides and, under her guidance, really developed a deep joy of playing the violin. Not only did she progress a lot but also had great fun during the lessons. I cannot recommend Angell enough!”
