Yen Chun is a professional pianist from Taiwan, she started her piano study at age of four, when immediately showed her exceptional talent during early stage of her piano study and was taught by well-respected pianists including Wen-Ling Shih, Ching-Wen Tu and Dr. Michael Dellinger. Yen Chun graduated from the Fu-Jen Catholic University of Taiwan in 2011 where she gained her music degree in Piano with second study in Flute. Up to when, Yen Chun had already achieved many national competition prizes in Taiwan including ‘The 2nd Prize Winner at the National Steinbach Music Competition’, ‘Excellent Award of the National Eisenbach High School Western/ Eastern Music Competition’. 

In 2012, Yen Chun was offered a place to further her piano study at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London, where she studied piano under Professor Tessa Nicholson and guidance from world-class pianists including Christopher Elton and Colin Stone. During her two years studies at the Academy, Yen Chun had also performed in numerous significant venues and was invited to perform the Shostakovich No.2 concerto as the solo pianist with the Royal Orchestral Society. In 2014, Yen Chun gained her Master of Art degree in Piano Performance from the Royal Academy of music.

Yen Chun’s talent and her delicate performing style soon were recognized by the music industry of both Taiwan and China that after completion of her master study, Yen Chun was immediately offered to take up the pianist position in the West Harmony Chamber of Beijing in early 2015; since then Yen Chun has been regularly performing and has given numerous concerts with her chamber group across China, one of the recent performance was taken in Beijing Poly Theater.

Outside her performing life, Yen Chun also has always had passion in teaching that she had built up a rich background including a year work experience in Taiwan Wen Hu Primary School and in 2015, ‘The Harmony Road Music’ - The Leading Music Education School of United States of America has confirmed Yen Chun a certified teacher of the Harmony Road Music School of China where she honoured to be the program leader of the music class as well as the leader of recent commenced bilingual group keyboard class. With her extensive teaching experience, she was soon offered a place to teach at the Beijing City International School in 2016, where she gained her PGCE course and is currently the headteacher of Music and Performance Art.
